VibeFrog is a browser extension that helps users capture UI context and screenshots from webpages for AI-assisted workflows. This policy explains what the extension accesses, how it uses that information, and what happens to it.
The short version: VibeFrog works entirely on your device. Nothing you capture is sent to any server. Nothing is stored in the cloud. Nothing is shared with anyone.
VibeFrog lets you hold a modifier key, hover any element on any webpage, and click to copy a clean, AI-ready snapshot of that element to your clipboard. You can also right-click to capture a screenshot of a selected element. Both actions happen only when you explicitly trigger them — the extension does not run passively or monitor your browsing.

VibeFrog writes to your clipboard only when you perform a capture action. It does not read from your clipboard. Clipboard access is strictly limited to placing the captured output where you can paste it into the tool of your choice.
When you right-click a selected element, VibeFrog renders a screenshot of that element locally using browser APIs. The resulting image is copied directly to your clipboard. It is not uploaded, stored, or transmitted anywhere. The screenshot exists only in your clipboard until you paste or clear it.
All of VibeFrog's processing happens on your device, inside your browser. There is no backend server, no cloud processing pipeline, and no remote service involved in the capture or screenshot flow. The extension operates as a local-only tool from end to end.
VibeFrog does not store captured UI context or screenshots after they are placed on your clipboard — the extension itself holds no copy. If VibeFrog uses local browser storage (chrome.storage.local) to save your settings or preferences, that data stays on your device and is never transmitted. You can clear extension data at any time through your browser's extension settings.
VibeFrog does not use third-party analytics, tracking, or data processing services. No captured content is passed to external services as part of the extension's core functionality. The only external resource the extension relies on is your browser's built-in APIs.
VibeFrog requests only the permissions it needs to function. Depending on the version installed, these may include:
activeTab — lets VibeFrog access the content of the tab you are actively using when you trigger a capture. It does not grant access to other tabs or background browsing.scripting — allows VibeFrog to inject the content script that powers element inspection and overlay rendering on the current page.clipboardWrite — allows VibeFrog to write captured output to your clipboard after you trigger a copy action.storage — allows VibeFrog to save your preferences locally using Chrome's storage API. No data is synced remotely unless you have Chrome Sync enabled for extension data, which is controlled by your browser settings.You can review the permissions VibeFrog has requested at any time by visiting chrome://extensions in your browser.
VibeFrog does not sell your data. VibeFrog does not share captured UI context, screenshots, or any other information with third parties. There is no advertising network, data broker, or external partner involved.
You are always in control of when VibeFrog acts. Captures only happen when you trigger them. You can stop using VibeFrog at any time by disabling or uninstalling the extension through your browser. Extension data stored locally can be cleared through your browser's extension management settings.
VibeFrog is not directed to children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
This Privacy Policy may be updated as VibeFrog evolves. When changes are made, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
